South Florida Career Institute defines the term "e-Learning" as educational instruction that is distributed using web-based technologies to achieve its objectives. We do so by offering two forms of e-Learning: Synchronous and Asynchronous.

Synchronous - (Scheduled Classes Occurring Simultaneously with an Instructor )
This method allows an instructor to see all of the students simultaneously, therefore creating a "True Virtual Classroom". Students have a front seat, where they can see not only their instructor, but classmates as well. All members of the class have full two way voice communication. Requirements are a webcam, microphone and a computer with an Internet connection.

Asynchrouns - (Occurring at Any Time)
This method allows a student to learn at their own pace, at the time that is convenient for them, without the need to attend regularly scheduled classes. Requirements are just a computer with an Internet connection.
